Quran Tajweed Course

Recite with correct Tajweed, applying each rule in your own reading, not just knowing it.

Learners
Children and adults who can read the Mushaf
Typical length
Often 4–8 months for the core rules
Lessons
30-minute, 2–3 lessons a week
Format
Live one-on-one on Zoom

Tajweed means giving every letter of the Quran its right: its correct point of articulation, its qualities, and the rules that apply when letters meet. The word comes from an Arabic root meaning to make something good or excellent.

This course teaches the rules simply and then applies them immediately in your own recitation. Clear errors that change a letter or a meaning are fixed first, then the finer points are refined, so your recitation improves from the first week rather than after months of theory.

Because Tajweed is learned by listening and being corrected, every lesson is live and one-on-one. Mufti Muhammad Areeb hears each sound you make and shows you exactly how to fix it.

This course is for you if…

  • You can read from the Mushaf but are unsure of the rules
  • You learned to read quickly and want to correct old habits
  • You want your recitation checked by a teacher, not an app

What is Tajweed?

Tajweed is the set of rules for reciting the Quran correctly: giving every letter its proper sound and qualities, and applying rules such as ghunnah, madd and qalqalah where letters meet.

Is learning Tajweed obligatory?

Scholars of recitation distinguish between clear errors that change letters or meaning, which every reciter must avoid, and finer points of perfection. This course fixes the clear errors first, then refines the rest.

Can Tajweed really be learned online?

Yes, as long as a teacher hears you recite. Tajweed is learned by listening and being corrected, and live one-on-one video lessons allow exactly that.

How long does it take to learn Tajweed?

The core rules usually take a few months with two or three lessons a week. Applying them naturally in your own recitation is a habit that keeps improving with practice.

Which level should I choose?

Choose the level that matches where you are now. If you are unsure, book a free trial and your teacher will assess your level and recommend a starting point.

What age groups do you teach?

Noorani Qaida starts at age 4, Islamic Studies at 6 and Hifz-ul-Quran at 7. Nazra Quran is for all ages, Tajweed Mastery and Quranic Arabic are for teens and adults, and Quran with Translation is for adults.

How are classes taught?

Every class is one-on-one and live over Zoom. You need a laptop, tablet or smartphone with a camera, microphone and stable internet.

How is my teacher chosen?

After you book, our team contacts you within 24 hours and matches you with an ijazah-certified tutor for your trial class.
