Quran Memorization (Hifz) Course

Memorize the Quran with correct Tajweed and a revision system that makes it stay.

Learners
Fluent readers, children and adults
Typical length
Months for Juz ʿAmma, years for the full Quran
Lessons
30-minute, 3–5 lessons a week
Format
Live one-on-one on Zoom

Memorizing the Quran is less about talent and more about a system you can keep up. This course gives you one: new memorization (sabaq), revision of recent pages (sabqi) and a rotating revision of everything older (manzil), checked by Mufti Muhammad Areeb in every lesson.

The Prophet ﷺ warned that the Quran slips from memory faster than a camel escapes its tether (Sahih al-Bukhari 5033). That is why revision is planned from the first week and never left to chance.

Goals are set together: Juz ʿAmma for a young child, chosen surahs for a busy adult, or the full Quran over several years. The daily target is realistic, so progress is steady and what you memorize stays.

This course is for you if…

  • You read fluently and want to memorize, from a few surahs to the whole Quran
  • Your child reads well and is ready to start Juz ʿAmma
  • You memorized before and want to revise and strengthen it
  • You want a teacher to check every word you recite from memory

It may not be the right fit if…

  • You cannot read fluently yet (start with Quran Reading for Beginners)
  • You want to memorize quickly without daily revision

What you will be able to do

  • Follow a weekly plan of new memorization, recent revision and long-term revision
  • Recite memorized portions from memory with correct Tajweed
  • Use reliable techniques to memorize faster and forget less
  • Keep earlier portions strong while adding new ones

Ask on WhatsApp

How long does it take to memorize the whole Quran?

It varies widely. Learners memorizing alongside school or work usually take several years; full-time students may take less. A pace you can sustain matters more than speed.

Can adults do Hifz?

Yes. Adults often memorize more slowly than children but revise more deliberately. Many adults begin with Juz ʿAmma or surahs they recite in prayer.

How do you stop memorized parts being forgotten?

Every week includes revision of recent and older portions, not just new lines. Revision is planned from the first week.

How much practice is needed between lessons?

Plan for 15 to 30 minutes on most days. Short daily practice works far better than one long session a week.

Which level should I choose?

Choose the level that matches where you are now. If you are unsure, book a free trial and your teacher will assess your level and recommend a starting point.

What age groups do you teach?
