Quran Translation & Tafsir

Understand the message of the Quran, surah by surah, with reliable tafsir.

Learners
Teens and adults
Typical length
Ongoing, at your pace
Lessons
30-minute, 1–3 lessons a week
Format
Live one-on-one on Zoom

This course is for learners who want to understand the message of the Quran: what each surah is about, when and why key passages were revealed, and what they mean for daily life.

Lessons use established translations and classical works of tafsir, and sources are always named so you can read further. Because lessons are one-on-one, you can ask the questions you might hesitate to ask in a group.

Most learners begin with the surahs they recite in prayer, then continue through Juz ʿAmma and passages they choose themselves.

This course is for you if…

  • You want to understand the Quran’s message, not only recite it
  • You prefer guided study to reading a translation alone
  • You want reliable sources and room to ask questions

It may not be the right fit if…

  • You want to learn Arabic grammar (choose Quranic Arabic)

What you will be able to do

  • Explain the main themes of the surahs you study
  • Know the context in which key passages were revealed
  • Use established translations and tafsir works responsibly
  • Connect what you recite in salah to its meaning
